Meta launches AI smart glasses for less than 300 euros: the Meta Glasses

Meta, Mark Zuckerberg’s company (owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), has launched a new line of smart glasses that promise to bring artificial intelligence to the faces of ordinary people. They are called Meta Glasses, they cost from $299 (about 309 euros in Spain), and they are already on sale. Unlike previous models, which were sold under the Ray-Ban brand, these new glasses are one hundred percent Meta design. And that shows in the price: they are quite more affordable. The glasses have a built-in camera, speakers and a microphone, but the most striking thing is that they include an artificial intelligence assistant that you can talk to to ask for information, describe what you are seeing or even translate signs in real time. All without taking your phone out of your pocket. The Meta Glasses are available in 26 different styles, so they don’t look like a strange gadget, but like ordinary, everyday glasses. The battery lasts approximately a normal day of use and they recharge in their case, like wireless headphones. With this launch, Meta shows that it wants AI to not only be something we use on the phone or computer, but something we wear and that accompanies us everywhere. — Marta, for intermittent intelligence.
