Bitcoin takes a nosedive and drags down the whole crypto market: is the party over?

February is shaping up to be a month to forget in the world of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, the undisputed king, has suffered a spectacular drop to 68,000 dollars, its lowest level since Trump was in the White House. And as always when the king sneezes, the rest of the market catches a cold. Of the 100 most important tokens, 85 are in the red, and panic is beginning to spread among investors.

Analysts cannot agree. Some, like those at JPMorgan, see support at 77,000 dollars and remain optimistic for 2026. Others, more doom-mongering, warn that the bubble is imploding and that we could see Bitcoin fall to 10,000 dollars. Meanwhile, Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum, warns that prediction markets have become pure short-term speculation. In short, nobody has any idea what is going to happen, but things are more than interesting.
